前2作のエレクトロニカ系からギターロックよりに戻ってきたアルバム。
Kid Aを聴いて、うわぁ自分にはレディオヘッド無理だ！って方にも Hail to the Thief は割と聴き易い部類に入るのではないでしょうか。
特にシングルカットされた 5. Go To Sleep. の特徴的なギターリフとヴォーカルの絡み、後半のジョニーによるぶっ飛んだギターソロは圧巻です。
9. There There. は今でもライブで頻繁に演奏される曲で、前半のトムの美しいメロディからの後半の盛り上がり方は最高です！
また、アルバムタイトル名の「Hail to the Thief」はブッシュ前大統領批判に用いられたスラングをそのまま使用しているなど、政治的要素もかなり盛り込んだアルバムでもあります。
